My Background

As a New York Life Agent, I sincerely believe that most people want to do what's right: right for themselves, right for their families, and right for their communities. In fact, that's one of the reasons I joined the company back in 2004. After years working in investment banking and private industry, I wanted the opportunity to work somewhere that made it easy to help people do what's right and to take charge of their family's financial well-being.

You can take comfort in the fact that I have been a proud resident of the Howard County, Maryland community for more than 20 years, and therefore, have a vested interest in seeing my friends and neighbors succeed. As a loving mother of two sons, I have many of the same hopes and aspirations as my clients and am happy to share with you all the resources and information that New York Life has to offer.

If you're wondering about my qualifications, you might find it reassuring to know that I am a licensed agent to sell insurance through New York Life Insurance Company. In addition to my twelve years of experience as an agent, I have been a New York Life policyowner for over 20 years. I hold a Bachelors degree from Howard University, and a MBA from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School. I have participated in New York Life's well-known training program, NYLIC University, and have been named to the New York Life Executive Council1 in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2014 and 2015. I have a designation of CLTC from the Certification in Long Term Care LLC, earned through additional studies in the area of long term care planning and health care planning in retirement. I am an AARP Authorized to Offer Agent (A2O) for New York Life's life insurance and annuities through AARP.

Of course, my background isn't really the one that matters. To be the best possible agent, I've found that getting to know my clients – their hopes, dreams and goals for the future – is the most important step.
